Mike is the Dingle Conference Co-Founder and Co-Chairman.
Mike is a Consultant at Southampton General Hospital, Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Child Health London (Portex Unit), and Honorary Senior Lecturer at The University of Southampton Medical School. Between 2005 and
2008 he was Senior Lecturer in Intensive Care Medicine at University College London (UCL) and an Honorary Consultant Anaesthetist at the Whittington Hospital and University College London Hospitals.
He is Director of the UCL Centre for Altitude, Space and Extreme environment medicine (CASE) and director of the Surgical Outcomes Research Centre (SOuRCe) within the UCLH/UCL Comprehensive Biomedical Research Centre. His research interests include human adaptation to hypoxia, measuring and improving outcome following surgery, and fluid therapy.
