Meeting Venue
The conference returns once more to the Dingle Skellig Hotel. This 110 bedroom hotel with conference and leisure facilities includes the ‘Peninsula Spa’.

The ‘Skellig’ is situated on the shore of Dingle Harbour and its sister hotel, Dingle Benner’s Hotel, is located a few minutes walk away in the centre of Dingle town.

The town itself is set in the Dingle Peninsula, cited by National Geographic as an outstanding area of natural beauty.

Sharing rooms - if you would like to share a room at the Skellig Hotel then please contact us and we can match you with other delegates who would also like to share.

Airports
The nearest airport is Kerry Airport, just 30 miles from Dingle. This is serviced with flights from Dublin Airport, London Stansted and Luton, and Frankfurt Hahn all with RyanAir (www.ryanair.com). We are also delighted that the direct Manchester/Kerry service has been re-introduced by AerArann (www.aerarann.com).

All of these services can be booked on-line through the appropriate airline.

Cork and Shannon airports are both approximately a 2-3 hour road journey from Dingle but can be more convenient as they offer more direct services from, amongst others, Birmingham, Liverpool and Heathrow.

Airport Transfer
We provide a complementary transfer service to/from KERRY AIRPORT and Dingle. This service is organized by the Conference, not the airport or the hotel.

New for 2010 we are offering a transfer service from Cork to Dingle with a minimal service charge. This will be available at limited times (to service as many flights as possible without too much waiting time for delegates). Please contact us for more information.

To avail of these services please email us no later than 1st October. This service is only guaranteed if you receive a confirmation email.

Car Hire
For anyone wishing to organize their own transport, Hertz Car Hire at Kerry Airport offer the conference very competitive rates inclusive of insurance and unlimited mileage. Please contact Hertz on Telephone 00 353 64 34126 or Fax 00 353 66 9763333 and quote ‘UCL Dingle Conference’. They may also be able to help with car hire from Shannon and Cork airports. (Other hire companies are available).

Dress
Meeting (casual); Free-time (the weather is very unpredictable at the beginning of October – we have had a broad mixture in the past few years. Dingle can be a little wet and windy but is usually not very cold so we recommend water-proof coats (just in case!).

Sturdy walking boots, appropriate water proof sailing gear and riding clothes highly recommended if hoping to participate in these activities. If you do not have the correct clothing for activities you may not be able to join in.

Conference Dinner
Delegates are invited to join us on Thursday evening for the conference dinner (Black Tie).

Sailing, Golf, Walking and Horse-riding
A full programme of organised events including the annual yacht race and golf competition is available on request.
