The conference will once again be held at the Dingle Skellig Hotel. This 110 bedroom hotel with conference and leisure facilities includes the ‘Peninsula Spa’.
The ‘Skellig’ is situated on the shore of Dingle Harbour and its sister hotel, Dingle Benner’s Hotel, is located a few minutes walk away in the centre of Dingle town.
The town itself is set in the Dingle Peninsula, cited by National Geographic as an outstanding area of natural beauty.

The nearest airport is Kerry Airport, just 30 miles from Dingle. This is serviced with flights from Dublin Airport, London Stansted and Luton, and Frankfurt Hahn all with RyanAir (www.ryanair.com).
All of these services can be booked on-line through the appropriate airline. Cork and Shannon airports are both approximately a 2-3 hour (bendy, sometimes bumpy) road journey from Dingle so we highly recommend flying into Kerry where free transfer is available by booking with us.

| |
We provide a complementary transfer service from KERRY AIRPORT to the Dingle Skellig and Benner’s Hotels which is available for all flights in and out of Kerry. This service is organized by the Conference, not the airport or the hotel.
To avail of this service please email us no later than 1st October. This service is only guaranteed if you receive a confirmation email.
For anyone wishing to organize their own transport, we have again teamed up with Hertz Car Hire at Kerry Airport who has offered us very competitive rates inclusive of insurance and unlimited mileage. Please contact Hertz on Telephone 00 353 64 34126 or Fax 00 353 66 9763333 and quote ‘UCL Dingle Conference’. They may also be able to help with car hire from Shannon and Cork airports. (Other hire companies are available).

Meeting (casual); Free-time (the weather is very unpredictable at the beginning of October – we have had a broad mixture in the past few years. Dingle can be a little wet and windy but is usually not very cold so we recommend water-proof coats (just in case!).
Sturdy walking boots, appropriate water proof sailing gear and riding clothes highly recommended if hoping to participate in these activities. If you do not have the correct clothing for activities you may not be able to join in.
|
| |
Delegates are invited to join us on Thursday evening for the conference dinner (Black Tie) and Friday evening for the ICSI dinner.
|
| |
A full programme of organised events including the annual yacht race and golf competition is available on request.
